Cloud
Computing services are provided through cloud computing, such as servers, storage resources, databases, network, software, analysis and intelligence through the Internet, knowing also that there has been an increasing popularity in the last decade in the field of Information and Communication Technology services.
The advantage of the cloud lies in offering rapid innovation, flexible resources and economies of scale, saving, above all, on operating costs.
However, it is good to keep in mind that, precisely to achieve these purposes, the use of cloud services implies entrusting third parties with corporate services and data, thus raising the level of risk to which you are exposed: you must in fact, also take into account specific risks, linked to the cloud models for which you opt (SaaS, Iaas, PaaS). And it is precisely in this case that the GDPR comes into play, establishing obligations and responsibilities of the Data Controllers in case of outsourcing of a treatment.
